This is work for my employer. Its design, data and the business it supports are confidential, so this page covers my role, the engineering domains and the technologies involved, not how the system works. I'm happy to talk through the engineering in an interview, within those limits.
My role
- Develop Python and Bash automation that runs across distributed Linux systems.
- Administer those systems: configuration, updates, remote troubleshooting and recovery.
- Build monitoring and verification so a failed task is visible instead of silent.
- Roll out changes carefully and keep them reversible.

How I approach this kind of work
Exactly-once thinking
In distributed work, duplicate or skipped work is the default failure. Design it out rather than clean it up.
Make failure loud
Health and completion signals turn a silent failure into a visible one.
Verify, then widen
Changes are proven on a small scale before they reach everything.
